Oh my god.

I like that Rasputin considers him a COUSIN of all things, both the AI being petty little shits in their own ways (I laughed at Raz blasting music because HE WOULD), and ofc I can never go past massive supermachine intelligences grumbling about their affection for their pet humans.

Rasputin refers to something Durandal says at the end of Marathon: Infinity with "It's like my cousin said, elsewhere" and I COULD NOT RESIST LATCHING ONTO THAT. Admittedly with additional flavor from the passive-aggressive sniping of Sphene and Breq in Ancillary Mercy.) AIs being annoyed about having feelings for their humans is also pretty much my favorite thing, so - I'm glad not to be alone in this! ♥
