Remarks: This fic is a triumph in terms of finishing old drafts (I think it's been sitting around since 2015) and choosing completion over perfection. It's otherwise a bit of a messy fic - the ending is much too abrupt, but I had to admit I'd lost interest in delving into the conversation it needed to close it out properly, and was not likely to become interested again. Some fun turns of phrase, though, and worth writing the part I still wanted to capture.

It was fun trying to capture Neus' inherent eerieness in combination with her more sweet-natured personality (itself under siege by this point in the game).
