Making Top 100 lists and testing people to see how many of them they too have experienced is all the rage in some quarters, and I ended up having a lot of fun scraping around my brain for 100 books that have influenced me in meaningful ways over my life. 'Ware a fat chunk of Australian kid's lit.

There would have been even more had the system somehow been unable to locate The Mouse Butcher... but yes my childhood tendency to pick up any book with a cat on it does shine through, huh. Technically that's even how I got into the Old Kingdom trilogy.

Sidenote: I'm SO excited that someone else has read Hexwood (and enjoyed it). It's one of the less popular DWJ books for whatever reason, which is a shame.

Hexwood's a very confusing read even after you know what's going on, but the characters were endearing and the ending was one heck of a payoff!

42/100 (after adding a couple of books I’d memory-holed). Got very excited to see some of the crossovers - Jennie!! Aaahhh, that book was such a huge influence on me and it’s been so long since I last consciously thought about it. ♥

Haha! I think you might be the person I’ve crossed over with most so far clearly we both have EXCELLENT TASTE. My battered old copy of Jennie is no longer with me, but I know I’d be in floods again if I reread it.
