I know it's silly to feel at all disappointed that the first cyclone to make landfall in the region since I moved up north is skirting my location entirely. I would not actually enjoy sitting in my apartment for several days with no electricity, mobile phone coverage, or running water. I certainly would not enjoy dealing with any damage to my home or car.
Still, there it is: the child who loved the natural disaster segment of science classes, and the adult who puts money and effort into assembling preparations every year, both quietly kicking the ground like, awww.
It's scarcely even rained! We all hoped for some rain, at least. Maybe tomorrow.
