5 things makes a post

1) Approximately one week to go until the move! No I still don't know when I can pick up the keys, nor have I had confirmation on being able to book the internal bond cleaning service. It's going great. I'm having so much fun. On the upside my coworker took my gross old couch away so things feel less claustrophobic even with the increasing mound of boxes.
2) My chin seems to be healing well. The scabby phase lasted about a week, and underneath it is - okay? It's pink, it's clean, it's doing its best to remodel. Someone recommended vitamin E cream as being good for scars, but exactly two seconds on google confirmed that to be a treatment largely pushed by skin-care corporations without any real scientific foundation. I will probably invest in some moisturiser though, and gentle massaging is encouraged by doctors once it's properly healed.
3) Went down to the ocean with Lori on Thursday to eat ice cream and provide a sympathetic ear as she unloaded some work and family stress, then went to G's place on Friday for general hangs and drinks with various folk. Good fun! Got some good gossip, lol.
4) Sometimes I run across isolated songs that fit wonderfully into playlists I will never build. Like, if Ancient Mars isn't on a Penumbra / Juno Steel playlist somewhere I will be very disappointed. Meanwhile In the Woods Somewhere is about as accurate an atmospheric representation of the Finisterre series as you're likely to get.
5) Having serious recurring dream elements featuring my brother (why?) and water filled with dangerous creatures (why???). Can only assume this will ease up once life is a little less chaotic.

Date: 2022-06-26 02:47 am (UTC)Man, that isolated song for a nonexistent playlist is a struggle. (... sometimes I end up starting the playlist anyway and it sort of - snowballs.)

Date: 2022-06-27 03:09 am (UTC)I usually need at least three or so good songs before I'll commit to playlisting in earnest. Helps nail down the 'sound'.
