May. 5th, 2021 05:43 pmI enjoyed "The Mitchells vs the Machines" as the colourful romp it is, and this studio has a genuine knack for animated slapstick comedy. It was good, I laughed and I felt things.
I still want to pull the Miller-Lord duo to the side and gently ask if between this movie, Into the Spiderverse, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs they can maybe consider moving on from whatever demons they needed to excise around the subject of "the fraught relationship between quirky creative children and their well-intentioned but repressive fathers, and also the world is in peril or something idk there's probably a usb involved".
