So I am a big fan of AMVs as a medium - it's all about the timing and the thematic resonance with the music for me, though occasionally some flashy effects will catch my eye. I used to keep a collection on Twitter of some that have made me seriously hoot and holler over the years, and decided I should probably transfer them over here as well so they don't get lost! There are already a couple that have simply vanished over time :'( I will forever mourn that one Firefly 'Adiemus' AMV. Where did you go, my lovely.

kiki_eng actually just posted a bunch of recs. I have my recs: vid tag, but I've been a complete failboat about it the past few years.

As for losing vids, if you really love one try to dl it. I've got a chonky file on a harddrive at home.

I second downloading your favorite vids. Firefox has a good extension for it- Easy youtube video downloader. And a 1tb external hardrive is not extremely expensive these days. I download tons on videos to save.

That's a fair point re: downloading! Unfortunately some of my faves were from eons past when my parents would not have been impressed by me blowing our limited internet cap on painstakingly downloading Firefly videos...
