Jul. 4th, 2021 11:55 amI was today years old when I found out the same animation studio is behind TMNT 2k3 and The Spectacular Spider-Man, making them responsible for both my favourite iterations of NY-based pop culture phenomena featuring quippy teenagers doing backflips and having an increasingly terrible time. A respectful tip of the hat to Dong Woo Animation - they have a real knack for fight choreography.
Relatedly I've been poking around what fanvid scene exists for 2k3, which unfortunately isn't much. I still found a few that really charmed me and made good use of the material:
Relatedly I've been poking around what fanvid scene exists for 2k3, which unfortunately isn't much. I still found a few that really charmed me and made good use of the material:
- 18th Anniversary Tribute* - short and punchy!
- I'll Make a Man Out of You - great match-ups of lyrics and scenes, and kind of a tidy season 1 summary.
- Mortal Kombat - an old favourite from the archives, fittingly built around the Battle Nexus arc.
