Whoops! Apparently backdating posts doesn't keep them off the reading page, so apologies for doing exactly what I was trying to avoid. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what and how I want to arrange things; might be similar mistakes occurring for a while.

I followed the video game awards through other people's commentary more than anything else. Not exactly frothing at the mouth over the Dragon Age 4 trailer - I'm pleased it's confirmed, but I'm still primed for disappointment if it turns out we're getting a Brand New Protagonist. Definitely making eyes at the Outer Worlds trailer, though! I've loved all the Obsidian titles I've played to date and everything I've heard makes it sounds like they're committed to the same sort of roleplaying experience that was such a huge part of the fun; read their commentary on why they've chosen not to incorporate romances and it's exactly the kind of logic I want to hear.

('The Passenger' is also a song I strongly associate with my Fallout: New Vegas Courier, so that made me laugh.)

Other than that, Insomniac's PS4 Spider-Man game was my treat to myself for finishing my studies, and I absolutely adored it. Gorgeous graphics, strong story, and a really respectful amalgamation that threw nods to a variety of adaptations while still nailing their own take on it. There were a few small things I'd quibble over - I've never been sold on MJ Watson as an investigative reporter, personally, on the grounds that I find it a bit...generic? It's like every superhero love interest has to be in media or law in an attempt to 'balance' the relationship, whereas I liked her having her own, entirely separate life and ambitions and being no less capable for it. None of that was enough to dampen my overall enjoyment though.

Also been playing Skyrim again, mostly out of vague determination that I should at least complete the main storyline once one day. Completed the quest to get Erandur as a follower last night, so at least my dream team is back.

As for other media, I'm two seasons into Killjoys and mostly enjoying it - sometimes the heavy Orphan Black vibe works in its favour, and sometimes it doesn't - and I'm going to have to cheat and read a bunch of tiny books to complete my Goodreads challenge at this point. In my defense, I got halfway through a re-read of The Stand and then had to quit because it was giving me such bad dreams, so that was a wasted week.
