You should definitely also link me to the original flashfic. (I'm not actually that into Hannibal, heh - it was a bit too gory for me. But I'm familiar with it through various friends who were fans, and I liked what I saw of poor Will c:)

I can see why you're so happy with this one! I really liked the part where Hannibal talks about wishing he'd been given the moniker of shrike - "fierce, yet unassuming in that fierceness", and Will immediately internally being like You Have Never Been Unassuming In Your Life.

You also walk the line of Will's feelings well; tilting one moment into the thrill of Hannibal's favour, the next dealing with the "sick fury" of his horrible actions. The love/hate push and pull that defines their whole... thing.
