Remarks: I got to thinking about Guardian-Ghost etiquette, trust, and what shared revivals in Darkness Zones are like. nameless belongs to someone else, because at least when I'm writing with an audience in mind I actually write.

Title: The Spare
Rating: PG
Series: Fallout New Vegas ('courier faction' original characters)
Wordcount: 1128
Remarks: This was mostly an exercise in getting a handle on a new character (back in '14), for which I borrowed Wyn and Bryn from other members of the writing group. First impressions are so important.

Title: Recovered
Rating: PG 13+
Series: Red Vs Blue (Washington, York, Wyoming) / His Dark Materials
Wordcount: 3770
Summary: A re-telling of the first episode of Recovery One, as set in the His Dark Materials universe.
Remarks: Every HDM fan has to write a crossover for their other fandoms, right? I actually had a lot of fun doing this. For record's sake: Washington, bat-eared fox; York, northern mockingbird; Wyoming / Gannett, emperor tamarin.

Title: Any Port In A Storm
Rating: G
Series: Fallout New Vegas ('courier faction' original characters)
Wordcount: 1385
Remarks: Context - a number of us from a tumblr fandom group ended up playing Fallout: New Vegas around the same time and liveblogging the experience. One day, I posited the idea of our couriers all meeting in some alternate universe, another individual said the words "courier faction", and things proceeded to spiral out of control in all the best ways. As such, the only character I own in any way is Larkin; the rest belong to the other assorted participants. (I will note that the reason Larkin has a twin is another individual and I started playing the game independently within a fortnight of each other, and on top of that managed to choose very similar designs. We decided this was the next logical step.) It's terribly dorky but also a lot of fun.

Genre: Urban fantasy
Wordcount: 815
Remarks: Omen and Rebecca are mine; Delilah is Quixote's, though I like to think I can claim some responsibility seeing as she's Jester's sprog. Femslash February's just around the corner, so here's an old bit of rampant fluff to celebrate.

Warnings: Some language, big spoilers through to the end of season ten.
Summary: "Epsilon and Carolina - how did he tell her that CT was the one who had warned Tex?"
Remarks: Promptfic via Roostertumblr. It was my first go writing Carolina, and ultimately it turned out much better than I'd expected. I didn't expect to enjoy creeping into her head so much!

Warnings: Some language, spoilers through to the end of season eight.
Summary: "We kind of call the new guy Church."
Remarks: Still hopelessly attached to this fandom. This time I took a one-off joke from season ten, combined it with a running gag, and somehow got minor angst involved. Tada!

Summary: In which Andrew is a perpetual hitchhiker.
Remarks: I recently re-read - in fact just finished re-reading as of this morning - Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, and it gave me a bee in my bonnet that ended with me turning to my favourite cast of characters for gratuitous crossovers. Not quite completed, but not likely to get any more so. Andrew/Jester is mine; Nigel/Secateur is Quixote's. The dæmons are a kittiwake and an addax.

Title: Siren
Rating: PG
Genre: Urban fantasy?
Wordcount: 329
Remarks: You know that moment where you write something riddled with cliches and melodrama but you're so damn pleased to have broken through an extensive block that you can't help but feel proud of it anyway? Yeah. Andrew/Jester is mine (and, yes, of a kin with coffeehouse Andrew; this is technically his first and truest 'canon'). Pyre is Quixote's (and most definitely not of a kin with Patience ahah oh god).
